Red and Blue Khadi Tartan blouse
Long-sleeved blouse in cotton khadi with a tartan pattern where red and blue intersect, highlighted with black lines.
The crew neckline finished with a bias opens onto the button placket decorated with ruffles on each side. The front yoke is framed by a double row of ruffles that continues in the back following the armholes. Under the yoke that holds the gathers, the shape flares out. Halfway up the sleeve, a cutout decorated with a final ruffle breaks the regularity of the pattern. Natural mother-of-pearl buttons close the blouse and the cuffs.
Khadi is a fabric spun and woven by hand in Indian villages. Once considered the fabric of the poor because of its rural origins and its irregular and coarse texture, today Khadi is diversified, refined, and softened. Its rarity, the irregularity of its weave, and its artisanal beauty make it an exceptional fabric.
